******************************************************************************** *********************************************************************** BTD WEAPONS MODDING TUT MADE BY YOURSELF (This can apply to apply to all mods) ******************************************************************************** *********************************************************************** 1st. go to your mod directory folder locally C:\Users\Adam\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files\Activision\Call of Duty 4 - Modern Warfare\Mods VSITA c:\Program Files\Activision\Call of Duty 4 - Modern Warfare\Mods XP (I think 7 is same as vista but I?m not completly sure) 2nd. go to the weapons.IWD copy and paste it to desktop and open it with winrar (if you don?t have it, it is free of their site) 3rd.pick the weapons you want (I?m going to use the g3_mp because I haven?t use it yet) 4th. as you can see all the weapons are there g3_reflex_mp + g3_silencer_mp etc. what I do is copy and paste the same thing over so all the types of weapons are the same 5th. open it using notepad (easy) or asset manager (hard) (I?m going to use notepad) 6th. you should see lots of info like "WEAPONFILE\displayName\WEAPON_G3\modeName\\p" etc. 7th find the bit "displayName\WEAPON_G3\m" 8th. change the /weapon_g3/ to your prefer name so "displayName\^1Yourself's g3\m" (colors work) 9th. now u can make it a little bit more interesting so find the bit saying "ammoName\7.62 ? 51 mm NATO\maxAmmo\300\startAmmo\90\clipName\g3_mp\clipSize\30\s" So change "maxAmmo\1000\" "startAmmo\1000\" "clipSize\100\" This changes the max ammo the start ammo and the clipsize of the gun 10th. "dropAmmoMin\1\dropAmmoMax\90\reload" make sure this equals the max ammo otherwise you're start with none! "dropAmmoMin\1\dropAmmoMax\1000\reload" 11th. now find "\damage\40\minDamage\30\meleeDamage\135\maxDamageRange\1500\minDamageRange\2000\playerDamage\100\" This part controls the amount of damage and melleedamage and range to a zombie/player 12th.now change it to something like this \damage\1000\minDamage\500\meleeDamage\200\maxDamageRange\1500\minDamageRange\2000\playerDamage\1000\ That creates 1000 damage (may kill a makron in one be careful) player damage just does damage to other players but it doesn?t matter because there is no FF 13th now find "fireTime\0.05\fireDelay\0\meleeTime\0.8\meleeChargeTime\" Fire time changes the amount of time between each bullet. Fire delay should stay a 0 and melletime in the amount of time it takes to knife 14th. now change it to something like this "fireTime\0.1\fireDelay\0\meleeTime\0.08\meleeChargeTime\" It now shoots much slower but the melee time is much quicker 15th.this bit is complex " reloadTime\2.75\reloadEmptyTime\3.75\reloadStartTime\0\reloadEndTime\0\reloadAddTime\1.5\" This changes the amount of time taken to reload. If you get it wrong things go a little weird 16th follow my lead "reloadTime\5.0\reloadEmptyTime\5.0\reloadStartTime\0\reloadEndTime\0\reloadAddTime\5.0\" This makes the reload time 5 seconds from whenever it is empty or not. 17th. I?m not going to go into much delail because things can go wrong but no save the g3_mp and if you want all the g3's to be like that copy and paste it over all of the g3_scope_mp ect and all the g3's will be the same 18th. now you are ready to upload it to the server so by going into a FTP client upload it to the mods folder and replace the one that is already there. 19th. restart the server 20th. test out the weapon in your classes/pickup make sure it is right for you. if its too powerfull change the damage. too much ammo change the \clipsize\ etc. 21st. enjoy XD -------------------- |

Butch > This is really basic ... but wth(eck) is MMO/Clip? To me (and I absolutely know nothing about the gaming programs and mods) but it seems you need to define what that is before you explain how to do it. I appreciate and applaud your efforts (and i could be wrong) but for us old farts; 'esplain the basics leading up to what you are doing and why PLEASE.
